Chickens may come to roost in Cedar Rapids

There's a great article in the Cedar Rapids Gazette today about  the efforts of our grass roots group to legalize chickens here in Cedar Rapids. Cindy Hadish did a great job of capturing the essence of our group:  Cedar Rapids Citizens for the Legalization of Urban Chickens (CR-CLUC). Many thanks to all of our members who interviewed for the article and to Kate's chickens that posed so nicely for the videographer. We are getting good responses from the council members about our desire to live more sustainably in Cedar Rapids. Get your coop plans, folks. I think we'll have the city's blessing to buy chicks in the spring.
