I'm not the only one that believes that sometimes we have to live in anticipation of laws changing. Laurie Zoloth, a bioethicist at Northwestern University (in other words she's no slouch) is keeping hens in her backyard in defiance of the Evanston, Illinois ordinance banning chickens. She and several others in Chicago, where chickens are legal, show us a day in the life of their backyard hens.
